Darlene’s background is in HR management. She belongs to the Canadian Speakers Association and has attended and helped out at telethons for many years.

Darlene was the chair of the Kinette Club and Kinsmen clubs Saskatchewan Telethon and was the Junior League treasurer for two years. She currently manages her partner’s company (who is a recent inductee to the Canadian Disability Hall of Fame) and supports his role of motivational speaker and champion on inclusion and disability.
